While most wheels only roll one way well, omni wheels have special rollers that allow them to travel smoothly in perpendicular lateral directions (in addition to being able to be driven for good ol’ lengthwise-rolling motion). That’s why omni wheels are perfectly at home in holonomic drive systems where you want your project to be able to move in all directions!
A combination of two sets of rollers is required to maintain constant roller contact with a travel surface. This 96mm Diameter Omni Wheel is an all-in-one omni solution with two rows of 50A durometer rollers that offer excellent forward traction. The core of the wheel is offset 8mm on one side and 12mm on the other, providing you all kinds of ways to quickly and easily change your robot's track-width.
